First Update of 2022

So much can happen in a year.

Covid introduced itself to me in November of 2021, and while the first week we were uncomfortable together, the second week it let me know it definitely was not friendly.  Even after Covid was gone, it took a few months to recover my energy levels pre-Covid.

Book fairs and conventions were in my plans, but those were sidelined due to quarantine.  Will be looking into participating in those through the next few months.

While I took a season off from coaching high school basketball, I did coach my son’s 5th and 6th grade team.  That was a joy.

And I am currently coaching a 9th grade AAU team.

I still do contract work in the IT world and have stayed very busy with that.  Moved into a new house, bought a new car, was in an automobile accident that totaled my old car but I walked away with the barest hint of a scratch, spent a week in Arizona, went to several very nice restaurants and some that should have been nice but did not live up to their billings, and have been enjoying life.

My writing lagged for a number of reasons, but that doesn’t mean the stories in my head have disappeared.  They are there and have been percolating.  More are coming soon, including some short stories.

All in all, it has been a good year and a half since I last wrote for this website.   I’ll write much much sooner next time.

I believe everyone has a voice that can benefit the world, if each would take time to project genuine concern and respect for others.
